      The original painting of this print belongs to the Blues and Royals Regiment of the Household Cavalry and is 6 ft by 4 ft in size.

      The Household Cavalry was formed in 1661 under the direct order of King Charles II and now consists of the two senior regiments of the British Army – The Life Guards and the Blues and Royals.

      In their role as a mounted regiment (on horseback), the Household Cavalry guarded Her Majesty The Queen on ceremonial occasions in London and the UK. They play a key part in the Royal pageantry.
